Inspired by the wooden clamps on old workbenches, Norwegian designer Caroline Olsson’s ‘Turn’ lamp is an exercise in elegance. Made completely out of birch wood and hand-blown glass, the amount of light the lamp puts out is adjustable via a screw-like threaded rod, which functions like a rheostat. The lamp is still at the prototype stage, but Olsson showed the design at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair, so it will hopefully be hitting the market soon.
